Belated Harvey James Catgirl
May 20th, 2009Man, I forgot about this one…
I missed Harvey James’ catgirl bandwagon last week. Check out his full collection of submissions!
Diana and the Peeping Toms - Illustration Final
April 27th, 2009This still has loads and loads of flaws (that flipper hand, arrgh!), but I think this was the piece where I finally felt like I was starting to get a grip on Painter. The colours turned out almost exactly the way I wanted them to, even if the definition is still pretty wonky.
Those two peeping toms in the background are going to be turned into rabbits or something the minute she turns around, and will probably be torn apart by their own hunting dogs shortly after. Nobody ever said Greek mythology was pretty.

Rainy day
April 12th, 2009Pirates, Vampires and Mermaids, oh my!
April 6th, 2009Three studies from Life Drawing this afternoon. We had to use the model as a reference to create three rough concept sketches based on three themes chosen by the students - pirates, B-Movie posters (my favourite!) and mermaids. I’d like to go back to these and make finished versions of them at some point, especially the vampire grannies.
Thanks to Cat, who let me borrow her camera!
Last of the animation spam, for now
April 3rd, 2009A few scenes from our final animation project. The backgrounds and the wardrobe were all done by Lissa Pattillo, of Kuri-Ousity.com.
… I have to admit, I had a lot of fun making that little kid freak out.
Animation tests 2
April 3rd, 2009More Dillon tests, done in Flash this time. I might give these another shot, now that I can see how all-over-the-place the volume is. I do like how Dillon’s walk down the stairs turned out, though.
